You’re So Pine
This lovely Pine and Spruce pitch, needle, and Usnea Salve avoids aluminum and comes in stainless steel containers. The pine pitch, resin, usnea, and pine needles were wild harvested from the woods around my property in South Central Alaska. There are no essential oils in this product. It is highly aromatic on its own smelling of earthy pine and spruce. Think of a walk through the pine trees bottled up in one place.
Pine pitch is the resinous, sticky substance that seeps from the trees to cover their “wounds” or areas where the bark has been disturbed. This helps the tree stay free of disease and heal. Additionally, pine needles have antiseptic qualities. Usnea, or “bearded lichen”, is the green beard-looking growth on the tree that has been used topically historically for For hundreds of years to fighting skin infections (bacterial/fungal) and reduce inflammation. It contains usnic acid which is responsible for its beneficial properties.
